Prompt: Troy’s complaint about the unfair job system shows his frustration with racial discrimination. How did this conversation make you think about fairness and opportunity in society today? If you were in Troy’s position, what would you do

I think jobs are still not that fair, mostly people get hired now by people they know or association and its alot harder to get a job when you dont know anybody in the company, but i think there are more opportunities in todays society purely by the fact that there is war more jobs needed then before. If i was in troys position i would stay at the job because i know i need the money to keep a roof over my head.

Recall a specific incident when someone’s words offended you. Describe what was said, how it made you feel, and what actions you took in response. Reflect on whether your response helped resolve the situation or changed how you think about communication. One time someones words offended me was when someone called me out of my name and instead called me something i dont like to be called, it made me feel belittled and annoying. The actions i took to respond was tell them i didnt like to be refered to as that and talked to them so they could understand and i wasnt just beinf rude to them. They understood and havent called me that same name since.
